We use NIST's cybersecurity framework for a simple mechanism to allow organisations to assess their end-to-end cyber risk and the maturity of their cybersecurity control environment. This could then be used as a building block to develop a comprehensive and forward-looking cybersecurity strategy.
NIST CSF is recognised as an industry-leading cybersecurity framework to provide a broad view on the maturity of cybersecurity frameworks to senior executives of an organisation to help them establish whether or not they are implementing the right cybersecurity controls.
This standard spans across People, Processes, and Technologies providing a terrific guideline for organisations to establish and maintain a robust cybersecurity posture. We have further enhanced this framework by bringing in controls from other industry recognised standards, such as ISO 27001 Information Security Management System good practices and the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for further defence-in-depth approach.
